REGISTER FOR THE 2021 - 2022 SEASON

Registration is now closed for the 2021-22 Mite 8U season. Look to Spring/ early summer for next season registration to open.

Brad Thiessen and Derek Schmidt to lead Cleveland Barons/SYHC 8U Hockey Program

 

OBM Arena is pleased to announce that Brad Thiessen and Derek Schmidt have agreed join the 8U Mite program in leadership roles.

 

Brad Thiessen is originally from Aldergrove. British Columbia and a proud resident of Cleveland for the past six years. Brad recently retired from a 12-year professional career with the last six of those as a member of the Cleveland Monsters. Brad is married to his wife Ashlee and are parents to sons Nash and Brody as well as daughter Aubree.

I’m excited to be part of the 8U program and am looking forward to helping lead the Mite program and grow the sport of hockey. - Brad Thiessen

 

Derek Schmidt has spent most of his life in the Cleveland area and has been involved with hockey for over 35 years. He grew up playing the CSHL and has witnessed the growth of the CSHL and mite hockey. He is the husband of wife Traci and father to son Karl.
